About Biking Across

Bill Harris is lives in Norway; Bill Bartlett is lives in Oregon. They have been friends since being roommates at Oregon State University. To eliminate confusion over which Bill you were talking to, they adopted nicknames, ‘Phone Bill’ and ‘Dollar Bill’ to help others to make sure they were talking to the ‘right’ Bill.

Dollar Bill (Bartlett) has been an avid bike rider, having ridden in Cycle Oregon events since the 80’s. Phone Bill (Harris), an avid runner, started riding when several injuries helped him to experience to joys of cycling and the spin bike.

Biking Across was started out of a need for inspiration riding our bikes and spin bikes during the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that the routes and discussions help to inspire and share your favorite routes.
